Kudos to Miss Daisy for having this killer look lined up and ready to go as soon as the trailer dropped. But we have to admit, as much as we like this look, we don’t think the current promotional landscape is the best place for it.
It’s a pretty chic look and we LOVE the buccaneer boots, which lend a fairly basic black dress a real kickass sort of feel. In fact, this would have been an incredibly on-point look for the days when she was promoting Star Wars films, since it’s got a very “dark Jedi” sort of feel to it.
This would’ve been great for an outdoor photo call or talk show appearance or possibly even a premiere red carpet, but in the days of the Instagram red carpet, smart celebs are picking louder pieces to send out and this ensemble, as chic and strong as it is, just doesn’t stand out enough on the ‘gram.
