Miss Demi is clearly not feeling autumnal at the moment. On the contrary; she’s serving up some bold tropical party-time fashion. Miss Newly Single put on a bold and bright Balenciaga frock and posed in her backyard for seeming no other reason than she simply felt like it.

It’s really cute for glam-at-home purposes. Personally, if we’d been asked, we would’ve waved her away from the black accessories completely, but we can’t really get too worked up over it (much as we dislike the belt). Sure, everything’s high-label and she used a stylist to put it all together (which makes it perfectly discussable by the international rules of style blogging) but as much as we might quibble over the details (not entirely sure the jewelry works either), we’re in a weird time where celebrity style commentary tends to amount to little more than “Look at her! All dressed up! In these uncertain times!” So go ahead and get your party-of-one on, girl. If you were stepping out, we might be a weensy bit more critical, but you look happy and upbeat and we’re not gonna be the bitches who pee all over that.
