Good Lady Cate is establishing new red carpet ground rules for this moment and we think stars and stylists could take notes.
The style of her day looks in Venice so far have been about providing something photogenic, but easy to wear, paired with a clean face and what we normally deride as “yoga hair.” It’s DIY style with a low-key feel and highly visual component, similar but not exactly the same as what Tilda’s doing at the moment. Whether she had a team hovering over her or not, the look is clearly meant to come across like she didn’t. And like her little yachting cosplay moment, this garment is packed with personality. We kind of love it. It could have come off so clowny, but the low-key styling and color story make it feel daytime chic and a little modern.
Having said that, we expect she’ll be unveiling some sickening formal looks for the premieres.
