Between this and Mrs. America, we are railing at the fates for denying us the Blanchett promotional tour fashion we so desperately deserve right now. To be fair, the above picture probably gives the wrong impression as to what this series is really about.
STATELESS is a powerful and timely series about four strangers whose lives collide at an immigration detention center in the middle of the Australian desert: an airline hostess on the run from a dangerous cult, an Afghan refugee and his family fleeing persecution, a young father escaping a dead-end job and a bureaucrat running out of time to contain a national scandal.
Produced by Matchbox Pictures and Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton’s Dirty Films, and co-created by Blanchett, Tony Ayres, and Elise McCredie.
The multi-award-winning cast includes Yvonne Strahovski, Jai Courtney, Asher Keddie, Fayssal Bazzi, Dominic West, and Cate Blanchett; and introduces Soraya Heidari.
Premiere Date: July 8, 2020
We’ve been sitting on the screeners for this one for a while, unsure of when we’d be allowed to talk about it, but we’ll definitely have a review up when the series drops. It’s intense.
