Darlings, The Good Place took its final bows last night, and while we never really could get a handle on the idea of recapping sitcoms, we figure this is as good a place (pun unintended) as any to host a weepy discussion on everyone’s goodbyes. And of course, to lightly judge Miss Jameela’s choices.
She seems to like slightly offbeat details and/or shapes in her style. This feels very much like the kind of thing she loves, based on her style history. Yes. It’s a little clowny, but we’d argue her statuesque model’s looks sort of help mitigate the slight silliness inherent in the design. It’s fun and exuberant and still manages to be pretty and feminine in that traditional pink-polka-dot-dress sort of way. Of course we don’t love a hi-lo hem and that zipper situation is egregious, but we’re willing to look lightly past those issues, partially because the look just works, and partially because we’re full of watery, weepy, good feelings after that finale.
