A reformed dandy, a dandified mess, and a former Disney princess walk into a bar… or in this case, onto a red carpet. This movie looks like a history-making disaster, but we suppose Cats already filled that slot for the year. Even so, the stars came out in their usual best to promote it.
Rami Malek
This is Rami’s baseline best now. His Oscar campaigning stripped him of all his more stylish tendencies and now he tends to dress like a defrocked priest. It is to sigh over, kittens.
Robert Downey Jr.
Good lord, those wedge heels look like they hurt. We have no idea why, if you want to sport a shoe that uses its design to camouflage its height-enhancing powers, you’d then pick a version in metallic gold, thereby ensuring that no matter how many ascots, vests or velvet garments you wear, everyone’s eyes are automatically going to travel down.
Selena Gomez in Givenchy Couture
Miss Selena, you got tricked into thinking something that has doomed many a celebrity lady: “If it works on a runway model for 90 seconds, it will also work on me as I stand in the harsh sun for an hour posing for pictures.” No, dear. That flimsy turtleneck over a bodysuit looks horrible in the light of day and the shape of that skirt is simply unworkable out in the real world.
