Miss Renee. We are very, very excited about your Oscar nom and in fact, we consider you the number one choice for that Best Actress Oscar this year. But goodness, you certainly are determined to make it hard for us, dear.
We don’t know how you keep managing to find the same plain dress over and over again.
We’re all for sticking to what works and/or your preferences. We’ll even go so far as to admit that she managed to snag this nom without sacrificing her essential self or giving herself over to a breathless and intense Oscar campaign. She’s a lady who likes simple shapes and styles and an actress of longstanding who understands quite well the ups and downs of a mainstream movie acting career. No one’s going to talk her out of rigidly sticking to this look – which only occasionally photographs well and almost always fades into the background of any red carpet because literally every dress is more interesting than it. But for T Lo’s sake, can someone please convince her to get hair done, wear a little color on her face for pictures, and sport a diamond or two now and then? We get minimalism. We don’t get wearing Dior and doing nothing at all to style it.
