Pop Style Opinionfest: Please, Lana Del Rey!

Kittens, we just had to.

You know us. If there’s a celebrity kerfuffle, especially if it’s social media-based, your ol’ pals T & Lo will definitely have something to say about it. This time, Lana Del Rey got herself all hot and bothered by a rather wonderful examination of her work written by NPR music critic Ann Powers. Lana somehow got it into her head that this nuanced, well-written piece which puts her work in context and compares her to some of the greatest artists in the history of pop music was a hit piece and she responded to Powers on twitter last night:

 

 

 


As you might imagine we had a few things to say about all THAT. But before we open up that can of worms/can of whoopass, we had a few things to say about the new Netflix reality series Styling Hollywood:

 

 

 

And more than a few things to say about Ryan Murphy’s latest slate of very gay projects and whether or not we should tamp down on our cynicism and embrace what he’s trying to do and how he’s trying to change television.
