The very best thing about their appearance at the Emmys was the laughter from the audience that clearly unsettled them for a second when they claimed their show wasn’t scripted. It’s always fun to watch members of their clan try to navigate the worlds outside their clan. They always get some delicious little reality check.

To all of the “legitimate” style outlets that breathlessly proclaimed she was channeling Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, we have one thing to say: For God’s sake, have a little damn dignity.

She looks as good as she’s ever looked, to be sure. All the Kardashianisms have been toned down or eschewed in favor of simple, sexy minimalism. With lots of heavy necklaces. It works and it’s on-point. And it should be noted that this is one of the few times she’s stepped out on a red carpet in something that fits her correctly. She never does that, so she must have really been keen to impress.

Call us crazy if you’d like, but we really appreciate it when someone shows up at a conventional awards show in some high-risk high fashion. We give her a hard time for not being a very good model, but we have to salute any model who comes to a non-fashion event dressed to remind everyone that she comes from the fashion world. In other words, we love when models dress like models for events like film premieres or awards shows. It injects something bold or weird or intense into the proceedings that wouldn’t be there otherwise. Kudos to her for not trying to look like an ingenue. Or a typical member of her family, for that matter.
