BAFTA Los Angeles + BBC America TV Tea Party Red Carpet Rundown

Posted on September 25, 2019

Kittens, with the Emmys and their after parties out of the way, it’s time to peer through the mists of time to the days BEFORE the Emmys when folks got together to spill a little pre-Emmys tea.

Carice Van Houten in The Vampire’s Wife

She can make almost anything look better by putting it on, but this looks like a housedress from the sixties. Not even you, dear.

Fiona Shaw in Emilia Wickstead

We’d say the waist isn’t sitting quite where it needs to but that aside, this is a sharp, stylish look.

Gina Torres

Looks great. Sharp and tea party appropriate.

Jodie Comer in Sachin & Babi

Jeez, it must’ve been awfully hot that day. We’re thinking the boots didn’t help. Dress is cute, though.

Joey King in Ulyana Sergeenko Couture

Vinyl kitchen tablecloth.

Nathalie Emmanuel in Temperley London

The length is awkward and we don’t really like the print all that much but damn if she isn’t making it work.

Natasha Lyonne in Gucci

LUV HUH. She’s the only one who could make this dress work.

Patricia Clarkson in Vitor Zerbinato

Lots of plain white dresses on the red carpets this weekend. At least the shoes and the sleeves are interesting.

Rachel Brosnahan in H&M

Is that one dress or badly matched separates?

Sandra Oh in Duro Olowu

Again with the slightly awkward length, but it’s a spectacular look on her.
