Sometimes, we just adore New York screenings. No scrims or red carpets, no big logos or corporate-sponsored step-and-repeats. Just a dirty-ass sidewalk upon which an actress is expected to do her best among the cigarette butts and traffic cones. It’s the “throw them to the wolves” arena of red carpetry and any gal who can look stylish and dignified in this setting is considered Top of the Game.
Michelle? That’s your cue, dear.
This all appears to be in order. The entire look is a perfect example of what her style playbook has been for years (when she’s not contractually obligated to wear the goofy stuff, that is): Simple, clean retro with a seriously twee undertone. Can’t say it doesn’t work for her. The blunt bob is a bit new, but we still think it’s time to ditch the short platinum hair.
