We’ve been at the fashion blogging game long enough that this current trend toward dresses over pants is at least the third time it come around since we started. We still haven’t truly come around on the idea.
And this is definitely not making the case for us.
We know it can work, especially when you consider garments like the shalwar kameez or when you see a saree worn over pants. We think any time you try to apply modern western styles to the idea, you’re getting away from what makes it work. In this case, we just don’t think you can do it with a strapless dress. If that had been some sort of light tunic of roughly the same length and shape, this would’ve been great.
