Darlings, we feel like we’d have been doing these folks a disservice if we put their efforts in a Red Carpet Leftovers post, which means it’s time once again for us to play Catch-Up at Cannes. Beautiful people? Please step forward.
Brad Pitt
Can’t really argue too hard with any of this. When it works, it works. He needs an inch taken off of a)his hem and b)his hair.
Chloë Sevigny
Do we detect a little bit of fashion cray creeping back into Miss Chloe’s rather mainstream (of late) style? Because those tights? NOT expected. And there’s so much weirdness with the bustline/sleeves/chains situation that we’re having trouble making sense of it. That’s not a bad thing, necessarily. We can’t stop looking at it.
Dakota Fanning in Armani Privé
Flawless. It may not be the freshest or most interesting design in the world, but she looks absolutely lovely.
Dua Lipa in Valentino Couture
This dress looks like it would cause our allergies to flare up.
Léa Seydoux in Louis Vuitton
We kinda wish the dress wasn’t black because there are enough interesting details that it makes us wish we could see them a little better. On the other hand, the black gives it a sense of serious formality, which was the whole point, we think. Love the sleeves, neckline and belt in combination.
Michelle Rodriguez in Rami Kadi Couture
Another pollen dress.
Rebel Wilson in Sachin + Babi
The fit’s nice, but we hate the color and we the bust design is weird.
Tilda Swinton in Chanel (and daughter Honor Swinton Byrne)
Love the jacket, hate the pants, Tilda. Still, you’re playing Proud Mama tonight so we’ll cut you some slack.
