Okay, so we were kind of weirdly excited to hear that Miss Elle was going to be a jury member at this year’s Cannes Film Festival because if nothing else, she was going to bring high style and youthful energy to the proceedings. At least that’s what we thought.
Imagine our disappointment when she showed up in Isabelle Huppert cosplay.
Where is our Prada Princess? Where is the Marcia Brady of Miu Miu? Girl, this ain’t it. The blouse is cute and has real style possibilities, but the skirt is borderline unflattering and the kitten heel with the weirdly thick slingback is simply awful. We think there’s little to be done to save this look because it’s so clearly ill-suited to her, but if we had to recommend a fix, we’d tell her to ditch those dowdy shoes – cute flats would work better if she’s trying to stay comfy – and get that hem up around her knees where God intended it.
