Forget the Judy Jetson shoulders or the dojo belt, it’s the silhouette that truly makes this terrible. Somehow, with all that ruffle action, she’s shaped like a rectangle. And those shoes can only really work with pants, right? Maybe there’s a skirt out there that pairs well with them but this one ain’t it.

There were all kinds of leather-and-lace jokes and puns ready to go here, but the more we look at that … shawl? Shrug? Poncho? Whatever it is, the more we look at it, the more we appreciate it for being distinct and eye-catching. Possibly even chic. There’s something really appealing about the juxtaposition of a yoke and shoulders that look like a basic sporty leather jacket turning into beaded lace over a sleek gown. This is why she’s so committed to wearing the odd. It’s because every once in a while, she hits on something truly chic in an unusual way.
