Darlings, we’re closing out DAY ONE of Oscars 2019 coverage with the perfect dress. It’s both stunning and discussable.
It’s uniquely beautiful and extremely well-suited to her. She was breathtaking on the red carpet. But the more we take it in, the more we think the skirt goes from fab to drab as you scroll down. We just don’t love that dingy backing color. The beading and colors are stunning, but we think the skirt should have been a sheer gray or pale blue. Yes? No?
Also, while we’re at it, aren’t the jewels just a mite too much here? We know she’s a lady who loves herself some gem action and doesn’t do “dainty,” but there’s a lot going on here.
