SAG Awards 2019: “A Quiet Place” Stars Emily Blunt and John Krasinski Look Straight-Up Gorgeous

The Blunt-Krasinskis took home the prize for Most Breathtaking Couple last night. It wasn’t a SAG Award, mind you. It wasn’t even a real award, but we happily bestowed it upon them in our minds anyway. The imaginary versions of Emily and John were terribly grateful to us and invited us to their next dinner party.

We expect some pushback on this, but we adore this gown. We don’t always love a bubblegum pink on the red carpet. Done wrong, it can come off either juvenile or tacky. Done terribly, it manages both. But this shade looks amazing on her and the long lines of the gown combined with the impeccable fit and drape are all working to serve up chic elegance. Yes, that ruffle treatment is a lot to take. But the gown would be somewhat generic without it and she’s got the poise to pull it off. The face is beat to perfection, the tight little chignon is a perfect choice for that collar effect and the earrings are stunners. We think she nailed this one to the wall: glamour, elegance, chicness and a boldly photogenic quality to make it memorable. Brava.

That man isn’t a snack. He’s a three-course meal with coffee and aperitif included.
