We feel like we’re not allowed to complain about this dress, seeing as how we’ve spent most of the last 3 or 4 years yelling at her to embrace bolder colors and designs. Welp. Mission accomplished:
Honestly? We think it’s pretty eye-catching, but there’s no denying it’s a LOT of dress. And yet, every time we try to mentally edit it – like picturing it without the panel of pink sequins, for instance – the design winds up looking unbalanced. We think it’s one of those designs you have to accept as-is because the extravagance of it is the whole point. On the other hand, we’re starting to detect the whiff of dying desperation regarding the prairie dress trend. Once a fashion trend reaches the “throw anything at it to make it interesting” stage, you can bet it’s on its way out.
