Kittens, the cast of Mary Poppins Returns is here to remind you that T Lo saw the film, loved the film, and STILL can’t tell you too much about the film until the review embargo is lifted. It was awfully nice of them all to take the time out of their day to do so. The very least we could do in response is judge their outfits for them.
Although most of them didn’t give us much to work with.
Radio appearances aren’t red carpets, however. They’re all good enough for promo shots. This is actually a pretty cute dress and pair of shoes. The coat doesn’t set it off all that well, but it doesn’t detract from it either.
Acceptable. On brand.
This is a pretty decent way of paying homage to the film’s costume aesthetic – which is colorful and bursting at the seams with all sorts of prints – without being literal about it. She commands the eye in group shots, as she should, but she doesn’t come off attention-seeking. It’s a good look.
He’s an adorable gay hipster fashion moppet and we wouldn’t have him any other way – even if we do find the cuffing situation a bit pretentious.
