Luke Evans at the 2014 GQ Men of the Year Awards

Everything below the neck is … questionable, at best, but let’s give it up for the man for getting the grooming right. And by “give it up,” we mean, “give it up,” of course.

We don’t like the cut of the pants paired with the cut of that jacket. The bottom looks balloony and the top looks too tight when you put them together like that. And while we love an unconventionally colored tuxedo, that jacket looks like high-end wrapping paper.

But at least he got his hair cut and he shaved (recently). In our imaginations, it took some convincing to get him to do so, because we’ve yelled at him several times for going out looking like a porn director. We sometimes get accused of being anti-long guy-hair and anti-beard, but like everything else in our style philosophy, it’s about whether or not such things are suited to the wearer. Some guys look great with beards and/or long hair. Some guys (we would argue a lot more) can’t really pull either off without looking slovenly or creepy somehow.

In our not-remotely-humble opinion, bien sûr.
