We really admire her.
Wait. No. That’s a terrible opening for what’s to come. You’d think we were going to follow that up with some sort of revelation about how she walks children in nature or some other really totally admirable fucking thing. But we’re shallow, so that’s not the direction we’re going in. Let’s restart.
We’ve really got to give this gal credit. You don’t see that many basic cable actresses putting in the work on her poledance style the way she does.
That was some primo backhanded complimenting, kittens. We just felt the need to pause and point that out.
Nina Dobrev heads to the SiriusXM Radio studios in New York City to promote her new movie “Let’s Be Cops” in a Markus Lupfer sweater and skirt from the Resort 2015 collection paired with Dolce&Gabbana strappy sandals and a Rag & Bone ‘Pilot’ bag.
Seriously, though; she always makes sure to make a splash. And given the her looks and the type of show she’s in, she’d be perfectly fine relying solely on short body-con dresses that show off the goods and do nothing else. And to be fair, she does resort to that look often. But every now and then, you see her pulling something like this; an outfit that says nothing so much as “I think I’m gonna have a little fun with my style today. Let’s fuck with people a little.”
Is this a good look? Well, no. We like each of the pieces, but none of them really go with each other. But we like that she’s trying to have some fun and say something other than “I’m so hot, right?”
So we’ll give her something of a pass on the following:
Nina Dobrev heads to the “Extra” studios in Times Square in a J. Mendel floral organza sleeveless dress paired with Bionda Castana ‘Daphne’ pumps and Linanoel jewelry.
The faux-sheer skirt is pretty tacky, but we like the top half. And while we love those pumps, we think they bring the whole look down a little. They’d be great with a simpler dress or with a pair of skinny white pants.
