Considering her longstanding predilection for showing the maximum amount of skin with every outfit she wears, this is like the Lea Michele version of taking nun’s vows.

It’s not a bad dress. We’re not crazy about the color-blocking, though. It tends to break up her shape too much. There’s a recent epidemic on the red carpet of sylph-like starlets suddenly losing their waists because they keep saying yes to dresses that obliterate them. Stop this, ladies. Stop this right now. It doesn’t make for a great look in pictures.

But it’s a bold and simple dress that allows for some sexiness without making her seem like she’s desperate to be ogled.  There’s perhaps a bit too much glittery jewelry, but for the most part, she’s tastefully put together.

Except for the 40 pounds of persimmon-colored tanner she had blasted onto her, of course. Girl, you need to pull back on that particular throttle.

Discussion point for advanced classes: Nail and lip color: too clashy? Of course they shouldn’t have to match, but it seems like each of those shades of red belong on wildly different skin tones, no?
