Olivia Munn in Valentino at the “Deliver Us From Evil” Photocall

Posted on April 21, 2014

We’ve officially been doing this whole red carpet gig a long time. Why? Because things that were trendy when we started our red carpet commentary are coming back in style, forcing us to try not to repeat jokes and lines we made seven years ago. If we were the truly lazy types, we’d just find some old Cameron Diaz post with us saying “A ROMPER?!?! FORMAL SHORTS?!?!? Poodles, we just CAN’T!!!!”

But we suppose time and old age have settled in. We must be getting mellow.

Because we don’t actually hate this. We definitely would have suggested a bangle or a giant cocktail ring or something like that just to punctuate the look, but aside from that lack, we’re okay with this. There’s something kind of appealing about how clean and unadorned the look is, even if we think it could have used a little bit of something. The shoes help tremendously. We’re not fans of the naked shoe generally, but a pump would have looked trashy somehow. And besides, these are a fun, eye-catching pair. We’re surprised to say it, but this might be one of her better RC looks in a while.
