A million Kristen Stewart jokes just launched themselves into the atmosphere and exploded like fireworks over our heads.  We will refrain, lest the fangurls issue a call to arms. We’re just saying, in terms of emotive qualities …

Okay, okay. We’ll stop. Cows are cute. Boys with cows in the snow is somehow the cutest thing of all.

  • I don’t get the Pattinson love but, boy, do I think those are some of the sweetest cows ever.

  • Carrie

    The cows look unimpressed

  • lalala

ok this is just the cutest.

  • random_poster

I’ve never been a fan of his, and I’ve never though of cows as cute before, but those pictures are undoubtedly adorable.

    • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

      Udderly adorable. 🙂

  • Danielle

    he’s caMOOOOOdling.

    • Sarah

      Argh 😉

  • christine

Those pics are the cutest and i don’t even like cows lol

  • Emily Smith

Hey, don’t insult the cows. They are just as, if not more emotive, than certain actresses.

    • Glam Dixie

And cows can stick their tongues up their nose holes. Can certain actresses do that? Cows ftw!

      • conniemd

I decided to delete my comment so as not to upset Mylie fangurls.

        • Glam Dixie

They would most likely never find their way to an RPatz post, but for your safety, why take the chance. 😉

  • Jessica Freeman

Emotes more in a few photographs than the entirety of 5 movies. Go figure.

    • DTLAFamilies

He does his best work with animals (see Water for Elephants).

      • Jacob Bowen

        Yesssss….Water for Elephants was divine.

  • Qitkat

Next, a movie about herding cats.

    • Sarah

      I would totally watch it.

      • kimmeister

As well as parts 2, 3, and 4.

        • Alloy Jane

Just as long as none of the cats give birth to a half-breed, thankyouverymuch.

    • zenobar

      Please may this happen.

    • lunchcoma

Cast my favorite boy stars in it, and I’ll be in the theater watching it every night.

  • I’m glad to see the guy working. For reasons I don’t fully understand, it would have really bummed me out if Twilight was the end to his career.

  • cathy

Sooo happy to see him so happy working with the cows. He is quite the animal – lover ! Rob is making very smart choices regarding the movies and directors he’s making and working with ! Rob is a talented, intelligent, charming, humble guy making very good choices these days !

  • lunchcoma

I’m not used to seeing him with a smile. It’s a good look for him.

    • Anaeli Pattz

Probably he is really happy with the life he leads now.

  • Glam Dixie

I walk with cows daily. It is not cute. Also, movie cows are very clean.

    • Nikko Viquiera

They must be the hollywood version of cows! Maybe the ropes around their neck are form Versace?

      • ashtangajunkie

With Louis Vuitton bells. The height of 2014 bovine fashion.

      • Glam Dixie

They are probably on the way to the barn to get their Chanel nose rings.

      • MannahattaMamma

        • Sarah

          Moooovie Stars

          • 3boysful

Perhaps what they are referring to in the Beverly Hillbillies theme song?

    • Sarah

I was thinking this too. Since I am also a VA lady, I have cow experience. Those are some Hot Cows.

      • Glam Dixie

Yeah, I have over 250 beef cows, they do not look anywhere near this cute. Or nice.

        • Sarah

I only know the milkin’ kind. They aren’t mean, but they are not so clean and woolly.

          • Glam Dixie

Dairy cows are 100x nicer than beef cows. But yeah, clean cows are something only seen at 4H shows right before their class.

          • Sarah

I guess if you’re gonna be ground up in the future, you probably have a worse attitude than getting felt up every morning gives you haha

          • mjude

bitter kittens walk with cows… I LOVE IT.

          • Sarah

For the record: I am not a farmer. I am familiar with the “I’ve got a cow and some chickens and goats” kind of spread that a lot of people have around in the countryside in VA. Like “I’ve got the land, so might as well have free eggs” kind of thing. Props to these ladies with full livestock. My herd of cats is enough for me.

          • mjude

I am an iowa girl not a farmer either but I love a pretty cow at our state fair. but it is a great title for a book?

        • DTLAFamilies

I’m tickled that we have a Farmer Bitter Kitten.

          • Glam Dixie

6 horses, 2 pigs, chickens, 7 barn cats, 2 bunnies and 5 dogs. My life is is the opposite of fashionable or glamorous. That’s why I need TLo, I get my glamor vicariously.

          • Mismarker

I am FBK #2. We raise Angus cattle. And yes, these cows look a million times cuter than our cows.

          • Glam Dixie

*Waves* Hi, ours are Angus and a few baldies. So glad I’m not the only one.

          • Mismarker

Hello right back at you! We focus mostly on row crop and have a small cow-calf operation in Iowa. Red and Black Angus but Charolais and Limousin (I think the cows above may be Limousin?) are popular in our parts, too. . You may be able to appreciate the amount of beef I have in my upright at any given moment. We’re having short ribs tonight. But sometimes I crave chicken and seafood the way others may crave red meat.

          • Glam Dixie

The red angus seem so much more chill than the black for some reason. We only have 3 of those but I like them a lot. Sadly they don’t bring as much at market as the black in these parts. Don’t want to hijack this thread any more than we already have but yeah, we had ribs just a few night ago. We also took our baby pigs to market so I’m currently over stuffed with pork. Sausage and milk gravy with homemade biscuits for dinner tonight.

          • Sarah

Oh shit. I’m SO having biscuits and gravy for dinner now, too. (Thanks you for idea and use for extra sausage patties)

          • SierraDelta

I LOVE the unexpected threads to be found at TLo University of Lifestyles.

          • tereliz

With the light markings on the face, I would say Limousin, too but it’s my husband that’s the cow expert. He grew up on a small hobby farm with about 60 Herefords (Polled, of course, not traditional) or so a year. Needless to say, he’s always griping when I bring home “sub-par” beef. The fish selection in the Gulf South is great, but it can be hard to get quality beef from the grocery store on a regular basis. Short ribs for dinner sounds delicious!

          • Jacquelina La Bomba

            Nomnomnomnom… Beef!!!

    • SierraDelta

Surely it’s a testament to his fine acting ability that he can seem so udderly happy in the presence of cows and their potential byproducts. But I suppose there are a few lucky crew members whose job description specifies “byproduct removal.”

  • Nikko Viquiera

OMG, he’s actually smiling! Best accessory ever (I mean the smile and not the cow!) He should do more films with farm animals.

  • PeggyOC

Those cows are in no way like Kristen Stewart. Their mouths are closed.

    • KinoEye

I also doubt they blink at an inhuman rate.

  • ashtangajunkie

Patts is looking good. That’s something I never thought I’d say, but there it is. Cute cattle are making things better.

  • ballerinawithagun

I couldn’t stand him before but he almost seems human now.

  • schoep

    RPat looks happy.

  • SAA

I’ll admit to being biased (I adore him) but these are just too cute. Love seeing him so happy – a smile is definitely the best accessory (and if you watch any of his interviews, he smiles quite often)! He’s making some really smart choices with his career, trying to learn from the best. Excited for the world to see what he can do outside of Twilight.

  • MilaXX

Looks like a scene from every Lifetime Christmas movie.

    • MK03

Ehh, maybe more like a Hallmark movie. Every Lifetime movie requires at least one battered woman per hour of running time.

      • tereliz

LOL, I managed to see the Lifetime Flowers in the Attic update (meh), but somehow the Lizzy Borden movie—with CHRISTINA EFFING RICCI—got by me. Did anyone see it? Is it worth tracking down?

        • FrigidDiva

I saw part of it, unfortunately I have a teething 9 month old who makes it impossible to sit and watch whole movies at times. It was interesting. They used modern music to go along with the period setting, so it almost had a Marie Antoinette feel to it. I’m hoping I can catch it on again sometime and see the whole thing or try to find it online.

      • KinoEye

Made me laugh out loud in my mercifully empty office. So true. I think they’re also contractually obligated to work in at least one terminal illness per movie.

  • Imasewsure

Those are some seriously pretty cows…. and look… weather appropriate clothing from head to toe!! Go RPat go!!

  • ThaliaMenninger

Is he on The Amazing Race? I think his cow is broken.

  • marlie

He looks like a cute, regular guy here.

  • Wendi126

Something in the way she Moos.
attracts me like no other lover

    • 3boysful

      You win the internet today!

  • Toby Wollin

As someone who has raised livestock, I think I can say, without fear of contradiction, that those girls are ‘under the influence’ of something because cows are not usually that cooperative. And, I hope his character is supposed to be brand new to this because his ‘barn coat’ looks just too…ahem…clean…

    • IMNAngryLiberal

Absolutely agree that Rob looks too clean to be farming, but I have to disagree with other comments on here about the cows. If you look at the flanks, knees, hocks, and especially tails, you see typical cow grunginess. They look about right to me (a former Iowa farmgirl), especially in winter. (and how hysterical is it that most of the comments here are about the cows .. not about the actor).

    • blackbeanie

Dennis Stock lived in New-York and went with James Dean on a road trip. Among other places they went to the farm of James’ uncle where he had lived. I can gues them teasing Dennis for not being used to farm life, hec this scene.:)

  • Bovine divinity. Why does R.Patz have to be here?

  • guest

    • 3boysful

My. Such thoughtful analysis and articulation of your point of view. Do have to award you points for being succinct.

    • SierraDelta

Am I missing something? I have no idea why you’d say that.

    • Ahhhhh, fangurls. What would the internet be without them?

Besides more enjoyable for everyone else, we mean.

  • H2olovngrl

He gets better and better looking the further he gets away fro The Twilight Saga.

  • tereliz

  • Suzanne Johnson

Aw, shucks. My comment vanished into cyberspace. I was just wondering if those cows were Guernseys. I know they’re not Holsteins, and I don’t believe they are Jerseys. And that’s the extent of my knowledge about dairy cows.

Anyway, Pattinson looks happy, and a guy who looks happy pretty much always looks good.

    • Glam Dixie

I think they are Jersey cows but I’m by no means an expert on dairy cows so I’m just guessing, but I can tell one thing, those girls are most likely heifers.

      • lobsterlen

Well at least I am not the only Bitter Kitten trying to figure out the Cow breed … I am going with Jerseys too. Plus they are known for their good disposition so they would probably make good movie cows. And now I craving a large glass of whole milk!

      • Suzanne Johnson

I seem to remember a coworker when I worked at an ag paper in Salem, Ore., telling me that Jerseys, pretty as they are, got the name “Bossy” because they were, well, bossy.

I should have posted this as a reply to Lobsterlen, but what the heck. At least we’re not discussing dairy goat breeds — yet.

    • Mismarker

This does not bode well for Robert that some of us would rather talk about the cows! I’m fairy sure these are beef cattle. Dairy cows are generally thinner and have larger udders. They might be a breed called Limousin. They can be dark brown or light brown like these and they have lighter areas around their nose and eyes.

      • Glam Dixie

Must not be a breed very popular on the east coast, I’m not familiar with them at all, but they seem very sweet and to stay on topic, Robert seems to be really enjoying himself with the ladies. But the tiny udders are why they appear to be heifers to me, even beef cows get a big udder after a calf or two.

      • blackbeanie

I don’t know anything about cows but a poster somewhere else who lives on a farm joked that Rob who had to work in a limousine (Cosmopolis) works now with a Limousin.

        • Mismarker

          Haha! That’s pretty funny!

  • kimmeister

I find that cavorting in general is a cute activity in and of itself, no matter who the participants are!

  • histrogeek

So he finally is playing opposite someone who has credible emotional range and can close her mouth on camera.

Try the lamb and don’t forget to tip your wait staff.

  • ScarlettHarlot

Cow on the left is serving some serious FACE. What a pro! Look how it finds the light, and works the camera, keeping it’s head at an angle to avoid a full profile shot. Leftie also opted for the better accessory. If you look at Rightie’s bell, it just gets lost at that length and color.

  • colorjunky

He’s smiling, never seen that from him before!

    • blackbeanie

Then you’ve never watched an interview with him. He is as known for being hilarious and easy laughing as he is for his looks. Wether people like him as an actor or not is a matter of personal taste. In real life though he’s a very down-to-earth, humble man, loved by the media. He doesn’t have a publicist, doesn’t play the game, what you see is what you get.

  • frannyprof

    I love the cows!

  • BuffaloBarbara

Wow, he’s smiling and looks like he’s having fun. Go, cows!

  • ellatheingenue

    those cows are models

  • Ann VerWiebe

    Those cows look really clean.

  • muelonil

Udderly adorable…those cows are milking the camera

  • pugluv

Again with pictures of my guilty pleasure…I find him handsome, sexy, adorkable and charming. The cows are a wonderful accessory!

  • R. L.

He looks better (happier) with the cows. More clean and wholesome. I was always kind of meh about him but he looks like a nice guy in these photos. Maybe I have just disliked the character, whatever that vampire’s name was.

  • vitaminC

He’s also cleaner than the livestock, for a change.

  • Anne

I don’t find him attractive, but I like him a little more now.

  • Lisa Dugan

    Okay, that’s just adorable.

  • YousmelllikeAnnaWintour

Everyone Wants To Be Me Or Milk Me. 🙂

    • demidaemon

That could be taken in a bunch of different contexts, some quite salacious.

  • kt mac

He looks like an actual grown up man!

  • lalahartma

    He looks like a fool.
