Photo calls are getting kind of weird lately. The staging of them is more elaborate than ever, but the stars are still dressing somewhat casually for them, which means you wind up with pictures like these, where A Big Bold Beautiful Journey stars Colin Farrell and Margot Robbie, look like they put about 1/10th the amount of work into their own outfits as the PR people did on the backdrop and staging. Anyway, here they are, posing awkwardly with their director Kogonada and trying not to snap their ankles on the tricky “carpet.”
We suppose we can’t get mad at Collin for wearing jeans and tank top while posing on grass. At least he fills everything out nicely. Her dress is cute, but almost completely generic and forgettable except for the accentuated hip. They look fine. They’re not trying to look anything more than fine and we don’t think they should have. Showing up in a gown and a suit to pose in front of that backdrop would have looked silly.
