PinPinzelada Lounge Restaurant – Madrid, Spain

It’s THURSDAY. Come meet us in imaginary Madrid, where we will spend the day avoiding reality. You know you want to.

Aubrey Plaza to star as ‘Hollywood madam’ Heidi Fleiss in biopic
The film is co-written by “Bottoms” star and co-writer Rachel Sennott.

Ahead of her detective drama Honey, Don’t hitting theaters later this month, Aubrey Plaza has signed on to play infamous Hollywood madam, Heidi Fleiss.
Entertainment Weekly has learned that Plaza will both produce and star in The Heidi Fleiss Story, a biopic about the infamous columnist and TV personality who was busted in the early ‘90s for what was said to be the world’s largest high-end prostitution ring.
The notorious escort service eventually saw Fleiss arrested and convicted for tax evasion and implicated several Hollywood stars and politicians.

‘Severance’ Secret Weapon Britt Lower Reveals Her Wild Side
She’s the beating heart of this year’s most thrilling — and Emmy-nominated — TV show. But there’s no telling when she might decamp for the circus (like, literally).

Finding stardom at 40 — after a largely under-the-radar career of scene-stealing small roles — hasn’t tamed her wanderlust. There’s a reason she calls Helly R her “soulmate.” Like her trapped counterpart, she’s ever alert to the possibility of escape from conformity, alive to surreal moments that pierce the mundane and fill her with wonderment. Between seasons, Lower has literally run off to join a circus, a community of itinerant artists to whom she feels deeply connected (and who are also big on eye contact): “I love to watch people do incredible things and test the limits of what a human body can do.”
She dreams of returning to the circus before season three starts shooting — if only she weren’t so busy these days. In two hours, she’s heading back to the Toronto set of I Will Find You, a Netflix series based on a Harlan Coben thriller in which she plays a journalist. Maybe this is why she appears to be studying me.

Pamela Anderson on personal style, self-acceptance and date night
We caught up with the actress (and 2024 GLAMOUR Woman of the Year) during Copenhagen Fashion Week.

You’re a style icon. How do you put an outfit together?
I really wanted to have fun with The Naked Gun press tour; I wanted to think of it as a story. I usually style myself, but I worked with Bailey Moon and I said, “Get a lot of really fun stuff and think about French films.”
I wanted to have things be cinematic — and a little off, because I never quite nail it. It’s just a little something that doesn’t quite work, but it’s trying. I’m never perfectly polished, even though I try to be. Something always goes wrong, which is, I think, part of my charm. I’m embracing that now. I love putting fun outfits together from head to toe.
For this press tour, I wanted to add colour because I usually wear very easy and basic stuff. It was fun to put some hats on. I love hats, and this is the time to wear one.

Wednesday‘s Joy Sunday: ‘I am so tired of this industry being underhanded with folks who look like me’
The Wednesday star on her ‘legendary’ co-stars, coping with fame and how the industry still needs to fight for diversity and representation.

If you’ve already binge-watched season one of Wednesday on Netflix, you’ll know Sunday as Bianca Barclay, the coolly commanding siren, who uses her voice to control the minds of others. The Queen B of Nevermore Academy – a gothic boarding school for outcasts – she is initially the bitter rival of the show’s star, Wednesday, played by Jenna Ortega. Directed by Tim Burton and based on The Addams Family, Wednesday became an overnight sensation after its release in 2022. Within three weeks, it became the second-most-watched English-language Netflix series and went on to receive two Golden Globe nominations and win four Primetime Emmys.

The Hidden Case of Sir Ewan Forbes, the Transgender Baronet
Despite Forbes’s deep privilege and proximity to the royal family, his journey was not an easy one.

In 1968, a new name was placed on the United Kingdom’s Official Roll of the Baronetage: Sir Ewan Forbes, the 11th Baronet Forbes of Craigievar. A quintessential Scottish gentleman, Ewan was a perfect fit for his new role. He was a caring country doctor, a doting husband, a sportsman who excelled in riding, shooting, fishing, and Scottish dance, and whose ancient, rather eccentric aristocratic clan had deep ties to the British royal family.

How To Get The Perfect Posture And Why It Will Bring You More Confidence
The quest for perfect posture has become a hot pursuit in wellness circles. Yet, as ELLE’s Naomi Pike discovers, standing tall might be doing more for us than what meets the eye.
Our search for improved posture endures as our modern lives demand us to lean in, bend towards myriad screens and hover over our phones. It’s enough to sit up and take note, as the desire to walk through life with head held high and a demeanour to match persists.
As a child, I took ballet classes that, before becoming a hobby, served to establish an understanding of the importance of good posture. My teacher encouraged this by telling me to visualise a pixie sitting on the ceiling pulling a ribbon from my crown.

All The Reasons Gossiping Can Actually Be Good For Your Health
Laura Antonia Jordan considered giving up on gossip. Until she realised is wasn’t all bad news.

Many of us love to be party to a bit of breaking ‘news’ (heavy on the quote marks). It entertains and excites, serving morsels of intrigue and sprinklings of flavour atop the stodge of daily life. ‘Gossip’s just another form of storytelling,’ says Sophie Jewes, founder of the London PR agency Raven. ‘If you have a public profile, or you’re trying to be “known”, you want people talking about you. The trick is not to take it personally. Being impervious to gossip is quite fabulous… and a survival skill in fashion.’

The hit BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney’s bestselling novel, Normal People, is finally available to stream on Netflix — and it’s unsurprisingly already proving to be a success story for the streamer.

It was the series that made its leads household names, and now the hit BBC adaptation of Sally Rooney’s bestselling novel, Normal People, is finally available to stream on Netflix — and it’s unsurprisingly already proving to be a success story for the streamer.

She typically wears the piece at equestrian events.

She added on an emerald-colored midi skirt, completing her look with navy gloves, a black leather handbag, and pearl studs. Affixed to her lapel was a gold and diamond horse brooch, which dates back to the 1980s.

David Tennant and Toby Jones will star in The Hack, a new ITV series that takes a fresh look at the phone-hacking scandal that engulfed the British media
The seven-part series will be written by Jack Thorne, the man behind Adolescence and Toxic Town
The true story behind the The Hack reads, ironically, like a piece of so-preposterous-it-can’t-be-true tabloid fodder – but that’s why, after so many years, the phone hacking story that engulfed the News of the World is still one of the most fascinating British scandals. Now, one of the biggest scandals in media is to be turned into a gripping seven-part series for ITV, starring David Tennant, Robert Carlyle and Toby Jones in leading roles.
Set in the decade between 2002 and 2012, the drama will ‘deftly interweave’ two real-life stories, says the broadcaster: the uncovering of evidence of phone hacking at the News of the World, and the investigation into the – still unsolved – murder of private investigator Daniel Morgan. David Tennant will play Nick Davies who, as a reporter for The Guardian, pieced together the hacking scandal, while Robert Carlyle will take on the role of former Met Police Detective Chief Superintendent Dave Cook, who led the Morgan investigation. Toby Jones, meanwhile, will play former editor-in-chief of The Guardian, Alan Rusbridger. The Hack also features a stacked supporting cast, including former Tatler cover star Rose Leslie, Adrian Lester and Charlie Brooks.

Passport Stamps Are Disappearing Across 29 Countries This Fall—Here’s What Travelers Need to Know
What was once a built-in souvenir is becoming obsolete as new technology takes over.

There’s nothing more exciting than examining a passport stamp after entering a new country, seeing the barely-dry ink on the page and creating a tangible memory you can hold in your hand. But that experience will soon go by the wayside as countries across the European Union switch to biometric and electronic border systems, forgoing the physical stamp.

This Is the Most Crowded Tourist Destination on the Planet—Here’s How to See It Without All of the People
With some of the most iconic sites in the world, it comes as no surprise that Vatican City is one of the most crowded places on Earth.

An estimated 1.4 billion people traveled internationally in 2024, bringing tourism numbers back up to their pre-pandemic level. While this means more people are able to explore the world again, it also means that some of the world’s most sought-after destinations are experiencing tourism booms.
In July, the safari company Go2Africa released its findings on which countries, states, and tourist destinations are the most overcrowded. To find out the answer, the team reached out to national tourist boards to determine how many people visit each place, then compared those numbers to the population data for the same year, allowing them to calculate the ratio of tourists to local residents for each location.
