This is his first red carpet appearance since announcing his ALS diagnosis and this isn’t the style direction we would have recommended for him. We can’t tell him or anyone what kind of image they’re supposed to convey at a time like this, but we seriously question why you’d want to come dressed like a nursing home resident. If comfort or ease of use were considerations, there are better options than a white t-shirt and a deliberately ratty cardigan for moments like these. It’s weird, because all of these items are expensive and clearly new, but we don’t get why you’d want to do elderly cosplay at this time.
