Celebrity ladies came to the Chanel show in Paris to work those tweeds in the front row but we’re afraid not even these talented clothes-wearers could make the designs look fresh.
Lupita Nyong’o
It’s conventional to the point of being just a little stale, but the coat really does look fantastic on her. The blouse doesn’t coordinate all that well.
Margaret Qualley
Meh. The jacket’s okay, but the whites don’t match, which is kind of rage-inducing. Also, she doesn’t look great in white, even though she wears it all the time.
Naomi Campbell
She lends it a fierceness the clothes don’t otherwise possess, but we’re afraid that bob is not doing it for her.
Nico Parker
The jacket’s cute, but the pearl embellishments on the dress look chintzy and the micro-bag is silly. The proportions are off all over. She’d have been better in pumps.
