Citadel star Priyanka Chopra ditched her co-stars (and the dramatic, Liz Taylor-esque gowns she was sporting) to do a leg of the promo tour on her own as she stopped by The Today Show in a look that comes off fairly odd for a morning talk show appearance.

This seems a little noticeable off-season, although it’s been a chilly April in this neck of the woods. Even so, the heavy black coat with the fur collar really doesn’t read like spring at all. We sometimes get pushback on this sort of sentiment, as if we were applying it to the real world, but we’re not. Of course it’s fine if you want to wear black leather in April. But we think it’s best for stars promoting projects to give off that aspirational vibe in their promo fashion, which means springtime looks for spring. In related news, the top and skirt look heavy and the exposed skin is odd given how much she’s wearing. We hate the ruffle and the matching boots. None of this works for us.
