Literally every time we come across a reference to the upcoming Peter Pan & Wendy film, we react to it like it’s the first time we ever heard of it. As soon as we’re done writing this post, we’ll probably forget about it again. It’s the darnedest thing. Anyway, the cast of this Bermuda Triangle of a film came out for the premiere in London, ready and willing to serve looks for the occasion. This being a Disney event, most of them went for a fairly on-point whimsical style.
Jude Law in Brioni
He looks better in this wrinkled, slouchy suit than he probably should, but the fit is surprisingly good and he’s definitely giving a Disney Villain vibe.
Ever Anderson in Miu Miu
This is pretty twee and precious even for a 15-year-old, but it’s pretty much exactly how you should dress for your big Disney premiere. She looks cute. The dress is great, but the shoes are overdesigned.
Alexander Molony
This is spectacular. It’s got a whimsical, magical, extremely Disney feel to it, but it also looks modern and youthfully casual. He looks fantastic in it.
Yara Shahidi in Alexander McQueen
Just gorgeous. That shade of gold looks amazing on her. We wouldn’t call it costumey or claim she’s dressing toward a theme, but it kind of looks like Tinker Bell’s version of a formal gown, which means it couldn’t be more perfect. We haven’t changed our longstanding opinions on fringe and cutouts. We just recognize when they’re done well and applied correctly.
