We wonder if anyone can guess the nature of our particular objections to Florence Pugh’s Oscars ensemble. It may surprise you to hear that we only have two – that is, if you’ve seen the outfit already. If you haven’t, boy are you in for a treat.
So, what do we hate? Go on. Guess. We suspect anyone who reads our nonsense on the regular could guess that we hate the shoes. We think platforms were definitely called for here, but this design just deforms her feet. The only other objection we have is to the color. We can understand the reason for it, but we would’ve liked something a bit richer. The overall design is fun, grandiose, and with her wearing it, a little bit punk. It really suits her personality, which is large, irreverent, and playful. Girlfriend loved those hotpants so much, she couldn’t help showing them off at every chance. Love the unusualness of her hairstyle, which looks fantastic with the gown. Makeup? Flawless. Personal Best. The necklace is an absolute stunner and really helps to sell that futuristic royalty feel to it. She’s gonna be pure fire on the Dune II promo tour, if this look is any indication.
