We feel like this is a good-on-paper look that isn’t quite coming off in the real world. And when we say “paper,” we mean the kind that comic books are printed on, because this is some straight-up Dick Tracey villainess realness:
But it doesn’t quite work for us. The white shoes and red bag are just a bit too cute and we can’t help thinking the bustier top is just a bad idea. This would be much better with the bustier gone, the jacket closed, and significantly less distracting accessories. We’re thinking sandals and a clutch, in muted shades but we’re throwing the discussion to the floor. Let’s crowd-source this look into coherence and chicness.
