Kittens, once again, we offer you transparency in blogging. You see, it has been our experience, in the six decades since we began our blogging careers, that whenever we put a Gwyneth look up, the nature of everyone’s responses to it essentially come down to “So, how annoyed are you at Gwyneth Paltrow right now?” Not that we’re suggesting you should be annoyed with her; just that she’s always got a sort of aura of collective annoyance surrounding her at any given time and it tends to affect how people see her style choices.

Anyway, we kind of like this, all things considered. We suppose that means we’re not annoyed with her right now. That tracks.

It’s got a richness of color and a distinctness of shape that we welcome. She’s been stuck in a pale and shapeless style wasteland for so long. In fact, we wonder if her long exile has left her without the ability to get her clothes properly fitted, since this is kind of a mess for her as soon as she sits down. For someone with such an exacting sort of persona, her public presentation is often surprisingly half-assed, if not downright sloppy. Seriously, how do you pick a dress for an occasion like this and NOT sit down ahead of time in it, just to check how it looks? A shame, because it’s pretty cute.

Also cute are the shoes, except they’re almost ridiculously wrong for the dress. Way too night-time for such a daytime look.
