Yep. Those are some beautiful men. Clothes are kinda dull, but at least they’re impeccable.

Actually, that’s not being quite fair to Mahershala. That suit is pretty sweet, actually. And while the coat is minimal and classic in style (which means it doesn’t always take the most exciting picture), it’s pretty damn gorgeous. But as much as we love good outerwear on the red carpet, we feel like he’s obscuring the fine-ness of that suit.

It’s a beautiful suit and it fits him well. With another actor of his age, we might opine that he’s earned the right to stick to the basics, but Viggo’s always existed and worked outside the margins. He looks fantastic here, but we’d have rather seen him try for something a bit less conventional. We suppose he feels he has to hew the straight and narrow if he’s campaigning for an Oscar. Or maybe he’s just on his best behavior after sticking his foot in his mouth in a spectacularly bad way (not that there’s ever a good way to do it). Whatever the reason, we hope he gets to loosen up on this poledance and serve up a little more of the freaky hippy artist Viggo rather than the mafia lawyer version.
