What pretty costumes. It almost seems a shame to put them on Blake.

It’s not like this is going to be an acting tour de force, after all. Not unless she went and got herself a talent while we were all looking elsewhere. Yeah, that’s mean. Untrue, though?

We reiterate: pretty costumes. Kudos to all involved. She looks era-appropriate and practically unrecognizable. That couldn’t have been easy because they’d have to radically alter her look to make her look correct for the period. Everything about her normally reads “modern, 21st Century.” She’s not a Carey Mulligan or Helena Bonham Carter, who look born to wear pre-WWII styles.
