Zoey Deutch is in her white dress era. The star of Voicemails for Isabelle sported a super-cute white mini when she visited the Empire State Building last week, which she’s followed up with a slinky satin number as she visited The Today Show.

And we can’t say we like it at all. A white satin maxi-dress just feels a little too grandiose for a morning talk show. The dress is fine on its own, although we dislike the shape of the neckline and the straps, but wrapping that shawl around the waist makes no kind of sense. The whites don’t match and the dress was clearly designed to be flowy and simple, not bound up in a giant scarf. Whether this was the reason for it or not, the waist shawl just gives the impression that she’s trying to cover for an unflattering aspect of the design. And the shades are kind of awful too.
