We were kind of wondering why Samara Weaving wasn’t out promoting Ready or Not Here I Come along with her co-stars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Kathryn Newton, who have been shouldering the burden nicely. When she stepped out onto the red carpet with co-star Jason Segal for her other new film Over Your Dead Body, we got our answer. See if you can figure out the hidden reason why Samara hasn’t been out relentlessly promoting her projects:

Go ahead. Try and devise a theory as to why she’s been such a slacker lately. It’s a cliche to say she’s glowing, so we’ll just note that she looks fantastic and her team did spectacular job with her hair and makeup. The dress is doing what it needs to and the color looks fantastic on her. Personally, we would have been fine with a comfier shoe choice, but it’s nice to see a pair of pumps that isn’t the same pair everyone else has been wearing on red carpets this month. Sure, maybe we’re being kind-hearted because the last time we featured her, she was wearing the single worst garment in 20 years of fashion blogging, but she looks legitimately great here. He looks like he’s trying to bum a smoke or a quarter off her. Forget style, he doesn’t even look bathed.
