Kristen Wiig’s always had a slightly unusual style for a female comedian: she goes for sexy and she goes for high fashion looks. She’s never been the type to downplay those things and while we haven’t always enjoyed the results, we’ve always respected that she makes thoughtful, sometimes unusual choices for herself.

In a lot of ways, this tends to sum up how we see her style: interesting, high fashion, but slightly off or just too much. That skirt is beautiful but it’s also very dark and heavy-looking. A beaded top — as in, a top made out of beading — is just too much with it. It needs something light in color and simple in design up top to balance out that bottom. We also think a skirt that heavy and overwhelming looks a little strange with a sleeveless top. And the necklace doesn’t really coordinate all that well.

This is simple and cute in comparison, but we really hate that flower at the hem. One would have been perfect. Two is overdoing it. We know they’re not as trendy as those dreary black ones at the moment, but silver pumps would have been so fun here.
