Thus a sigh of relief was heard all over the land. If you listened to last week’s podcast, you know we were rooting for Michael B. Jordan to win the Best Actor Oscar and if you read our summary of his awards season style, you’ll know why. We’re relieved because a sober, stylish, professional-to-a-fault Oscar campaign won out over stunts and bravado. How you campaign still matters and the Academy still pays attention to such things.

He looks amazing and we admit to being quite surprised that he didn’t show up in the double-breasted tuxedo we predicted. We could have never foreseen that he’d unleash a Nehru jacket on us at the last second but we love it for being unexpected, unusual, and perhaps deliberately, not a standard western formalwear style. The jacket fits beautifully but the cut of the pants seems a little off.
