Here’s Bugonia star Emma Stone at the BAFTAs, helpfully answering the question on everyone’s minds; namely, “How does a record-breaking Oscar nominee with two trophies at home already and a Louis Vuitton contract to uphold dress for awards season when she’s probably a long shot this time around?” Or maybe that’s just a question on our minds because we’re weirdly obsessed about such things. At any rate, here’s the answer:
It’s low-key but slinky, with one undeniably focus-pulling element that prevents it from being entirely generic. Basically, we think the brief for her right now is to dress professionally, at a level that says this matters to her but in a manner that doesn’t come off too aggressive for an award no one considers her a frontrunner. Personally, we think she comes off a little under-styled, but that’s by design. The keyhole strikes us as too large from a proportional perspective.
