Rare is the opportunity that we really get to praise a couple of dude stars for going above and beyond our expectations, but we really feel Hoppers stars Dave Franco and Jon Hamm deserve some applause for showing up to the premiere of their beaver cartoon looking pretty damn fine.

It’s beaver-colored, so we guess we could call this theme dress. We’re not crazy about the combination of a double-breasted suit and a buttoned-up dress shirt without a tie, but it’s certainly no dealbreaker in this case. It’s a fine suit and the color looks great on him. We appreciate and salute the proper pants hem and the nice shoes.

His suits always look like he’s about to bust out of them, which is strange because he’s not that big a guy. We suppose he just likes that slim cut, but we don’t think it’s the best choice for him. Even so, this is a great suit and we love the effort. The pants need a serious hemming.

ABOUT THE MOVIE:
In Disney and Pixar’s all-new animated comedy adventure “Hoppers,” animal lover Mabel (voice of Piper Curda) seizes an opportunity to use a new technology to ‘hop’ her consciousness into a life-like robotic beaver and communicate directly with animals. As she uncovers mysteries in the animal world beyond anything she could have imagined, Mabel befriends charismatic beaver, King George (voice of Bobby Moynihan), and must rally the entire animal kingdom to face a major, imminent human-threat: smooth-talking local mayor Jerry Generazzo (voice of Jon Hamm). The all-star voice ensemble also features Kathy Najimy, Dave Franco and Meryl Streep. “Hoppers” is directed by Daniel Chong and produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle, with an original score by Mark Mothersbaugh. The film opens exclusively in cinemas on March 6, 2026.
