The stars of Ryan Murphy’s latest televisual abomination, The Beauty, came out stylishly for the series premiere, as if it weren’t total trash. Oh, sorry. We got a little bluntly judgmental there for a moment. How unlike us. Anyway, let’s rip their clothes to shreds, metaphorically.
Ashton Kutcher
Okay, credit where it’s due: that is an absolutely gorgeous coat. The rest of the look is low-effort, but we suppose it’s understandable that he figured the coat was all he needed. He should lay off the hair dye.
Bella Hadid in Schiaparelli
We have to give the folks at Schiaparelli credit for this one. This design would look so hellaciously tacky if it wasn’t rendered just so, but it looks pretty gorgeous here.
Rebecca Hall in Ludovic De Saint Sernin
It’s giving 1995 and we find that we don’t mind that so much for her. The belts are fun, but the fabric is musty.
Anthony Ramos
Impeccable. No notes.
Isabella Rossellini
Forever bringing the drama butter. Can’t say we love the boots, but the rest of it is gorgeous.
Jeremy Pope in Saint Laurent
On the one hand, we’re confused as to why so many people seem to have convinced themselves lately that going out in head-to-toe yellow satin is a good idea. On the other hand, he looks inexplicably great here.
Evan Peters
We’ve come around on brown suits — and this is a gorgeous one — but we’ll never understand why stylists have been so afraid of contrast in men’s suiting lately. A white shirt and white tie just looks weird here. It’s giving televangelist.
