It’s Friday and we just got done recording our podcast for the week, so while we recharge our batteries, you get to step in and take over our bitch duties. Melissa McCarthy came to the American Museum of Natural History gala in New York, sporting one hell of a high-impact look.

And the great thing about high impact looks is that everyone tends to form an opinion on them instantaneously. But before you blurt your vote out, a few things to consider. First: yes, she looks fantastic. We’d sound foolish to claim otherwise. These two queens love a sequin moment as much as… well, any two queens, we suppose. We also LOVE a bronze metallic and find them more sophisticated than most golds. HOWEVER… we find those sleeves a bit overwhelming, to the point that there’s almost a distortion effect. You can draw the eye to a lot of different places on the body if you want to, but the only people who dress to draw your eye to their arms tend to be guys with huge arms. We’re also not a hundred percent on the styling here. The gold purse clashes and the pointy-toed shoes are too much. In addition, while we agree with the choice to wear the hair up, we don’t think this top knot was the right way to go. Final call up to y’all:
