Kate Winslet, Andrea Riseborough and Toni Collette probably didn’t coordinate their looks before the premiere of Goodbye June, but each of them are so locked into a specific style that it would probably be impossible for them to unify their styles.

Well, she’s back on her bullshit; wearing the most forgettable, least interesting body con dresses she can find. The belt does a lot to elevate this one; so much so that if the designer had just put the straps where God intended them to be, we’d like this.

We think gold sequins on a pale yellow background look great and we love the pattern here, but we hate the style of dress. It just limply hangs off her. And way too many designers are tacking a cape onto a shitty frock in the hopes it’ll make it look more fabulous lately. It’s time to reject such things. Love the bangle.

Even though there’s a whole lot about this dress we don’t like, we are nonetheless going to delusionally take credit for it and offer a smug “You’re welcome” to the rest of the world. See, after years of covering her preference for wildly over-ruffled, precociously sweet dresses, we decided to use our awesome bitchpowers to effect change and wrote in September that her style choices were more appropriate for dolls with yarn hair. Look, someone’s got to be the cunty ones and we’re happy to step into that role for the greater good. This is the best thing she’s worn in years. We loathe that ruffled yoke, but at least it’s subtle.
ABOUT THE MOVIE:
The film takes place just before Christmas, when an unexpected turn in their mother’s health thrusts four adult siblings and their exasperating father into chaos as they navigate messy family dynamics in the face of potential loss. But their quick-witted mother, June, orchestrates her decline on her own terms — with biting humour, blunt honesty, and a lot of love.
