We realize that her day job is acting/singing/choreographing/directing, but it’s hard to escape the impression that Teyana Taylor’s true vocation is just going out in the world and being fierce as shit. The All’s Fair and One Battle After Another star stopped by Jimmy Kimmel’s place in an outfit that would have overwhelmed almost any other wearer in this setting.
That is a fitted jacket with silver sequined lapels, over a fitted vest with silver sequined lapels, over a silver sequined turtleneck. Viewers at home are advised not to attempt this combination. Teyana Taylor is a professional drive on an enclosed track. To be honest, we’re pretty sure we’d hate this on another wearer. The color of the suit is a little drab and the sequins can be extremely overwhelming. AND YET. She looks like this is the easiest thing in the world to pull off; as if showing up covered in sequins and tightly fitted garments is somehow effortless on her part. Part of what really sells the look, aside from her ability to work it, is the cutely low-key styling from the neck up. The glasses were a really smart touch.
