Everyone came out to be glamorous (or fail making the attempt, in some cases) at the Glamour Women of the Year party. Let’s assess the glamour, shall we?
Brittany Snow in Emilia Wickstead

It’s a pretty color and it’s mostly well styled, but we’re getting tired of these featureless strapless dresses. The texture provides some decent interest.
Darren Criss

Cute. It’s always nice to see a man working a bold print on a red carpet, since so many of them are dressing like priests and lawyers lately. We can’t say we’re in love with the little neckerchief, but we won’t fault him for being dandy.
Dascha Polanco

Dascha, your top has come undone. It’s a great suit otherwise, but it looks pretty dumb worn like that. The makeup gun was set on “kill,” we see.
Demi Moore in Balenciaga

LOL. No, girl. We just got finished writing an ode to your refreshed and elegant new style and here you are, returning us to the days when you wore bike shorts to the Oscars. We applaud the branching out and risk-taking, but opera gloves just look silly with pants — and those pants are silly enough on their own.
Denée Benton

It’s the (Michelle) Dockery Effect. Period drama actresses always want to remind you that they’re hot and young when you get them out of their bustles and corsets. The bodysuit + lowslung pants combo is VERY ’90s, but we’re not mad at it because the pieces look nice. The hair accessory looks a little silly, though.
Dove Cameron in Roberto Cavalli

It’s a pretty textile, but just from a proportions perspective, it needed a little more in the bodice. It just looks flimsy from the waist up.
Ilana Glazer

Full body shudder. Part of the reason we dislike fringe so much is that it tends to cause its wearer to contort or pose weirdly just to make it work. Just from a proportions angle, the jacket needed a longer skirt, or even better, a pair of pants.
Myha’la

FINALLY someone brings the glamour to this Glamour party. Color looks great on her, but she looks like she’ll face plant if she takes half a step in any direction.
Nicole Ari Parker in Louis Vuitton

A lot of unbalanced looks with this crowd. Great skirts that need better tops, jackets that call for longer skirts. It’s like everyone got half-dressed. Love the top half, but everything below the waist looks silly. Tights with shorts? They’re called pants, lady. Look in to them.
Rachel Zegler in Alex Perry

Gorgeous. A color like that doesn’t need a lot of jewelry. The low-key styling is correct.
Tyla in Dior

Sexy, gorgeous and genuinely interesting to look at. We admit that we’re not in love with this color, but it suits her and besides, we’ll applaud anyone who comes out in something other than a funeral dress these days. Love the hair. Kinda meh on the pearls but they do add something to the look.
