The cast of All’s Fair has been laughing off the show’s apocalyptically bad reviews while pointing to its headline-making ratings, which tends to send the message loud and clear: “We don’t care if it’s good, we only care if it’s watched.” Which is, to be fair, the prevailing sentiment behind a whole lot of mainstream productions, not to mention the Kardashian family motto.

We’re going to have a few thoughts about the show in tomorrow’s podcast, but we don’t actually recommend you catch up on it in order to listen. Anyway, several of Ryan Murphy’s paper dolls headed off to Brazil for another high-fashion victory lap.

If you pointed to this ensemble on a mannequin, we’d say “Where’s Sarah Paulson? Isn’t she supposed to be wearing this?” In other words, she’s perfectly suited to it and it perfectly embodies her style. Love the skirt. No notes.

The bodice design is hideous and that’s the worst feather placement we’ve ever seen.

Niecy Nash in Kamilla Purshie

It’s a little snug in the bust and we think the hair doesn’t suit her and takes the whole look into a way too literal Morticia Addams direction, but damn if she doesn’t look stunning.

Naomi Watts in Balmain

She’s been having fun with her fashion lately and the new approach really suits her. We love the outfit, but we weren’t convinced about the hair or relative lack of jewelry until she put the shades on. Amazing how well they complete the look.
