We’ve had to take the World’s Sexiest Man in for some critiquing lately but we’d like to make it up to him. Jonathan Bailey, in the wake of his coronation as well as the exhausting Wicked: For Good publicity tour, has been getting a little tryhard in his style choices. We get the impression that the attention went to his head and he felt that he needed to live up to his new sexy status. The thing is, he’s sexy without trying hard, which is pretty much one of the universally understood criterion for rating sexiness. We’re saying all of this, in the delusion that you haven’t already scrolled past it to get to the pictures, because we think his outfit while out and about in New York this week proves our point:
See? Effortlessly cute — not that we think he should dress like this for the red carpet. But if your casual style is when you look your best, you should consider what parts of it might translate into a more formal style that works for you. We’d never tell him not to experiment, but he really is perfect for the classic looks. As for this one, that sweater is drool-worthy. He’s a sweater boy. It’s a type.
