We interrupt all of these gala posts to remind you that major premieres are still happening out in the world. You know, in case you were worried about it or something. The stars of Frankenstein came to the New York screening sporting some choices. Let’s assess them.
Oscar Isaac
Aside from that one time he wore a Thom Browne kilt (something half the men in entertainment were doing around the same time) he’s never been an exciting or interesting dresser. This is boring, but of high quality.
Mia Goth in Ferragamo
That’s gonna be a big no from us, girl. She’s clearly in her sheer dress era and we kind of liked the last one because it made her look so gorgeously statuesque, but this one has no redeeming qualities. Without any volume or shape or color to it, at that length, it just comes off like a slip. The lace across the bust is mildly interesting, but everything about this design looks unresolved.
Jacob Elordi in Bottega Veneta
We’ll never love see-through shades, but this suit is gorgeous on him. The hem’s a little long on the pants, but we really like the full wide-legged cut for him. We’re also very happy to see contrast in his shirt and tie choices. He looks fantastic.
