Royal Honorary Air Commodore Princess Cathy made her first official visit to RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire since taking up the role in 2023. The Princess of Wales sported her Prince of Wales check and a very welcome (around these parts, anyway) pulling back of the royal curls.
It’s a great suit, very businesslike and appropriate, although it’s interesting how it has no military associations to it, which is a fashion trick she’s tended to deploy pretty consistently when fulfilling some sort of military function. On the other hand, she needs to strike a balance between looking respectfully professional or looking too ostentatious or royal. The sweater doesn’t go at all. It would have been much better in black. It’s nice to see her hair pulled back, but those tendril-like extensions still don’t look good.
